Dance moves me

I've always had a thing with beauty and expressing it. I can be in complete ahw with a beautiful painting, a tender music piece and mostly, with the beauty of dancing. It's like getting lost in a moment in time, feeling deeply, feeling pure love for this form of expression.

Despite my love for performing arts, I've found my way to performing myself quite late in life. I started figure skating when I was 19 years old, to find myself in my first competition when I was 22 years old. I've competed in both the individual division as in show skating. In show skating I became National Champion in 2011 in the Quartet category (with 3 other skaters) and 2nd & 3rd in 2010 and 2013.

In 2016 I decided to quit competitive figure skating because it didn't fulfill me anymore the way it did before. This was the moment I found my way to the dance studio. I fell in love with the beauty of ballet and the expressive side of contemporary dance.

I can't believe it's only 5 years ago that I started ballet, because nowadays it feels like such an important part of my life. I dance almost every day and even though I started late, I'm currently challenging myself to participate in performances and other dance projects and I recently started following classes with professional dancers. I'm trying to elevate my dance level and participate in as many amateur & semi-professional dance projects as possible, because I truly love it with all my heart.
